Talanx Supervisory Board appoints a new member of the Executive Board
Torsten Leue responsible for international business on the
Talanx Executive Board

At today’s meeting, the Supervisory Board of Talanx AG appointed Torsten Leue (43) as an ordinary Member of the Executive Board. Leue will start his work in the Talanx Group on 1 September 2010.
Torsten Leue (43) will take responsibility for international retail business throughout the Talanx Group. This is a new position in the Talanx Executive Board as a result of restructuring of the Group. The aim is to significantly expand this division. The brief is to pursue a policy of coordinated marketing in the new division following the transfer of the foreign companies transacting corporate and private business from the former property/casualty and life divisions. Talanx is focusing on the target markets of Central and Eastern Europe, and Latin America. Foreign business has enjoyed a track record of success through acquisitions as well as organic growth.
Leue started his professional career with an apprenticeship as a bank clerk at Deutsche Bank in 1985. After studying business administration in Berlin and Montpellier with special subjects in finance, accounting and human resources, he has held various positions at Allianz SE since 1993. Most recently, he was Regional Manager for Central and Eastern Europe at the Munich Head Office of Allianz from 1997 to 2003. Since 2004, he has been Executive Board Chairman of Allianz Slovakia in Bratislava. Since 2010, Leue also held the position of the Regional Chairman for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
